The Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex is a federally designated wilderness area managed by the US Forest Service. "The Bob" as it is affectionately known, straddles the continental divide and spans 1.5 million acres to the south of Glacier National Park in Northwestern Montana. The Bob is made up of three separate wilderness areas including The Scapegoat Wilderness, The Great Bear Wilderness and of course, The Bob Marshall Wilderness and was designated in 1940 to honor Bob Marshall's contributions to the preservation of the area. The North Half map includes: North half of The Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex Entire Great Bear Wilderness Jewel Basin Hiking Area Swan Crest (Alpine Trail) Badger/Two Medicine Area Waterproof, tear-resistant Topographic/shaded relief GPS verified trail locations and mileage The land the Bob Marshall Wilderness is located on is the traditional land of Amskapi Piikani (the Blackfeet Nation of Montana), the Niitsitapi (the Blackfoot Confederacy), the Selis (Salish), Qlispe (Pend d'Oreille or Kalispell) and Ktunaxa (Kootenai) tribes.
