Hiking Outside of Glacier Package

Did you miss your chance at a reservation ticket for Glacier National Park? Maybe you want to see what else the area surrounding Glacier has to offer. We put together a curated package to help you plan a hiking adventure outside of Glacier. This package includes a map of the Bob Marshall Wilderness, Day Hikes Around the Flathead and Whitefish Range Summits Hikes and Scrambles. With these resources, you will be able to explore local "secrets" and favorite places.

Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex Map: The Bob Marshall is 1.5 million acres of wilderness and is the third largest wilderness complex in the lower 48 states. The Bob straddles the continental divide and this waterproof, tear-resistant, topographic illustrated trail map will help with trip planning and navigation as you travel through this vast wilderness system.

Day Hikes Around the Flathead by Stormy Good Monod: This 20th Anniversary edition contains information on 120 hikes around the Flathead Valley. This book includes information on what hikes are dog friendly, which ones are child-friendly, the best season and time of year for each hike, a brief history of the names, maps, photos and excellent descriptions. This book covers trails in the Jewel basin, Ten Lakes Area and even a few in Glacier National Park.

Whitefish Range Summits: Hikes and Scrambles by Steve Rains: This book is packed with photography and descriptions for hiking and scrambling 29 peaks in the Whitefish Range. Unlike traditional guidebooks that include maps, this book is full of photos from the trails for reference that are immensely helpful in combining visual references with map reading.
