The Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex is a federally designated wilderness area managed by the US Forest Service. "The Bob" as it is affectionately known, straddles the continental divide and spans 1.5 million acres to the south of Glacier National Park in Northwestern Montana. The Bob is made up of three separate wilderness areas including The Scapegoat Wilderness, The Great Bear Wilderness and of course, The Bob Marshall Wilderness and was designated in 1940 to honor Bob Marshall's contributions to the preservation of the area.
