Montana artist and member of the Nakoda (Assiniboine) tribe, Barbara Schelling, is a retired graphic designer who now illustrates wildlife in a whimsical and fantastical style. The illustrations are meant to create a connection between humans and wildlife, to foster empathy and compassion towards nature and wildlife. Barb paints with gouache on smooth bristol paper, the prints are then created with archival quality inks and are fade resistant.
